DISCLAIMERS & DISCLOSURES
Everything posted on this blog is my personal opinion and does not necessarily represent the views of my employer or its clients. I work in PR and belive in my work, but this blog is about what I think, not about communicating my agency’s or clients’ messages.
I believe in transparency. When I talk about people, companies, brands and products, I’ll make clear if I have any perceived or actual conflicts of interests, including friendships, vested interests, and professional obligations.
I reserve the right to be wrong, change my mind, and hold dear ocassional contradictions. I approach my postings as essays about my thoughts on various subjects related to the creative process and living a life of ideas, both personally and professionally. Writing about what you think, then thinking about what you write tends to make your opinions fluid.
DOs & DON’Ts
Let me know what you think … Leave a comment. Contribute to the conversation. And sign your name. I’m skeptical about the motivations and convictions of annonymous comments. Besides, I like to know who I’m talking to.
… but please be civil. I shout the same things other people do when they hit their thumb with a hammer, forget to hit “save” or find out their client cut the budget two weeks ago without telling them. But I figure it’s easier to control our typing than our talking. Profane, racist, sexist or simply mean and hurtful comments shouldn’t be a part of the THINK INSIDE THE BOX landscape. I don’t moderate comments, but I do reserve the right to edit (or, if necessary, delete) those that are blatantly flaming or otherwise defy the spirit of civil dialogue. If that happens, I will indicate that the post has been edited.
